Everything you need to know about 3D Jumpstart

Program Basics

Currently, classes meet on Tuesdays with two time slots: 4:30-5:30pm for grades 4-7 and 5:30-6:30pm for grades 8-12. Additional days and times are coming soon! If you'd prefer a different day or time, email jeremiah@3djumpstart.com to be notified when new schedules become available.
Students learn Fusion360, professional CAD software used by engineers worldwide. Best of all, it's completely free for students! We'll help you get set up with your free educational license during the first week of class.
No laptop required! We provide computers in class. However, we strongly encourage installing Fusion360 at home for practice (it's free for students). Students who practice at home progress much faster.
Jeremiah is our lead instructor with years of experience teaching 3D modeling to middle and high school students. He specializes in making complex engineering concepts accessible and fun, helping students go from "I can't figure this out" to "Look what I made!"
All classes meet at Shadowbrook Church in Suwanee, Georgia. The exact room and parking instructions will be sent to enrolled families before the first class. The church provides a safe, comfortable learning environment with plenty of parking.
Online classes are coming soon! We're developing a comprehensive virtual program that maintains our hands-on, project-based approach.
Level 1 is designed for students 4th grade and up. We group classes by age to ensure appropriate pacing and peer interaction: Elementary (grades 4-7) and Jr High/High School (grades 8-12).
Level 1 is a 12-week program with one 60-minute class per week. This gives students enough time to master the fundamentals without overwhelming their schedule. Level 2 and advanced courses are coming soon for students who want to continue their journey!

Equipment & Supplies

No 3D printer required! We handle all printing for class projects. Fair warning though - after seeing what they can create, they'll probably want one! We can help you choose the right printer when that time comes.
All projects created during class are printed at no additional charge - it's included in your tuition. However, if students design projects at home and want us to print them, there will be a print fee and material fee. Honestly, at that point it's better to just buy them their own 3D printer!
We exclusively recommend and support Bambu Lab printers. The Bambu Lab A1 is perfect for beginners - it's reliable, easy to use, and produces professional-quality prints. It's the same brand we use in class, so students will already know how to operate it.
Coming soon! We'll offer comprehensive setup and ongoing support services exclusively for Bambu Lab printers. This includes in-home setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure your investment doesn't collect dust.

Policies & Procedures

While we don't offer refunds for missed classes, we provide comprehensive recap videos and materials so students won't fall behind. Make-up sessions may be available in other time slots if space permits. Your child's learning continues even if they miss a session!
Yes! Families save $50 for each additional child enrolled. The discount is automatically applied during checkout when you register multiple students from the same family.
As much or as little as your child wants! There's no required homework, but we provide optional challenge projects and recap videos for students who want to practice. Students learn plenty in class, but those who practice at home develop skills much faster. It's all about what works for your family's schedule.
No food allowed in the classroom to protect our computers and equipment. Students may only bring sealed water bottles or bottles with secure lids. We keep class times short (60 minutes) so students can eat before or after.
We offer full refunds through the end of Week 2 if the program isn't a good fit. After Week 2, no refunds are available as we've reserved your child's spot for the entire session. We're confident your child will love the program!
Students master professional Fusion360 CAD software - the same tool used by professional engineers in industry. They'll learn to design and create their own 3D objects from scratch, not just download and print files. By the end of Level 1, they'll have a portfolio of original designs and the skills to bring their ideas to life.
